A collection of Irish themed instrumental songs that date back to as early as 1993.The concept is the actualization of continued progression and movement beyond the creative process, continuing to move forward despite environmental restrictions. This project was inspired by the mountain culture of West Virginia, Kentucky, and Virginia. It consists of Appalachian tinged songs that chronicle the plight of the underprivileged, underpaid, and the underlying culture that echoes through rural mountains. Originally released on October 31st, 2008. Recorded between August 2007-September 2008.


'Mono on the Side' is a cross-continental, Mock News media themed, electronic jazz project based in Portland, Oregon and Kent, Ohio. Recorded between June-August 2009.



 The 'Mono on the Side-Thump' EP was recorded during the spring of 2007, but not released until June 2009. 'Catacombs' is one of 3 songs on this release.



Over a three year period (beginning in the fall of 1998), I began to craft this ambient piece to represent my infatuation with the ceremonial concepts of the Christian faith. This piece has been released in numerous formats, used in a dozen short films, and sold on every continent of the world. 


My Blesséd Cadaver-Complete EP 
A collection of dark ambient, synth driven pieces that are focused on the transitions from earthly to spiritual states while drawing inspiration from the concept of the grave as an agent of transcendence. Originally recorded between May-December 2006, Released on May 25, 2008.

'My Blessed Cadaver-Intravertigo' was the first collaboration between Michael Elam and Jon Van Norstran. Recorded during May of 1997.


Septimus Bean-More Violet than Purple

During the summer of 1999, Michael Elam teamed up with Jason Causley and mutual friend Brian Collyard. In an attempt to create something of cultural value, they took a name from an obscure childrens book and formed Septimus Bean. Originally released July 2002. The album was re-released in may of 2008 with the additions of the 2005 edits:
